Why We Do What We Do

We think that kids can change the world. In our efforts to raise a million dollars in our lifetime for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, we hope to help researchers find a cure for leukemia and other blood cancers. Both Zoe and I are stubborn enough to do it. I hope that you will join Team Zoe to help us do just that.

Who We Honor at Team Zoe

Some people say "in Memory of" for those loved ones that have died, but at Team Zoe, we instead choose to honor them. They aren't a memory; they were our beloved friends and family. So we honor them as much as those who are currently fighting the disease or those who have beat cancer. We love you. You can do this!

When she was a baby, I'd see her huge eyes looking at me in the middle of the night. Even then Zoe had the most enormous eyes. Now she just rolls them at me. Hmmm. Mom thinks she needs better jokes.

This is one of my favorite pictures. I was in the middle of my treatments and hadn't seen Zoe in over a month. She got to come spend the night with me, and we woke up and ate Cheerios. We were watching cartoons and I snapped this picture with my phone. My sister made a larger copy of it and it still reminds me of why I am so determined to keep up the good fight. She was always the "Keeper of My Hope." She always will be.
